Liliane Akiki, Physiotherapist:

Up high in the Lebanese country side, I was born back in October 18th 1972, in a very nice town called Kfardebian, www.kfardebian.com

known with its wonderful weather in all seasons;

The snowy winter, the freshness in summertime, the natural water springs, the nature attraction…

…And especially, those very tasty big and unique apples…

There I grew up, under the care of a nice family; I enjoyed my childhood, I learned, made friends and studied till high school. That’s where I’ve conceived my future’s scheme, thus, I had to move to Beirut, the international city of culture…
My interests had always been: travelling, hiking, nature adventures, mountains and oceans, international music, meeting people and learning about each country’s culture… To get straight forward to that, I studied foreign languages; besides French and English, I speak Spanish, Greek and a bit of Italian.

I’ve visited many countries; I was amazed by the natural contrast between the deserts in KSA…

… And the fertile land, the huge trees, the falls, the salmon, the ocean and the beauty of Vancouver…

But I've always believed that each one has.....

his WAY!!.....

Profession wise, I was always prone to health care, to help people in need and to make them stand up, walk and reach their goals…
I wanted to give them a hand, even more, my hands…

so I chose to become a Physiotherapist.

I started working ever since I graduated in July 1995 at Dr. Rizk Clinic, PT Department in Beirut till 1997. Also worked in administrative issues at the OPTL and was a member of the organizing committee for conferences.

At "David Abi Nader Physiotherapy Center" for sports injuries & orthopedics, I worked as a Senior Physiotherapist from Jan. 1998- Sep. 2001. Then I went further, to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for a private rehabilitation for a 9 year old girl operated in her hip during 3 months: Dec. 2001- Mar. 2002. There I became curious to be working at one of the Saudi hospitals, where the staff is usually formed by therapists of different nationalities. So I signed a 2 year contract, Jun. 20th 2006- Jun. 20th 2008, and worked at Al Hada Armed Forces Hospital, PSHRC, PT Department, Taif- KSA.

Then I was called for a locum position at FSRI, Fawzia Sultan Rehabilitation Institute in Kuwait from Mar. 22nd till Jun. 22nd 2008.
I liked the work experience I’ve got in all those places where I’ve been, I learned a lot both from my colleagues and my patients.

Now I’m here, back home, to my beloved Lebanon to achieve my biggest dream, my own practice:

Markaziah building, 6th floor, Downtown Beirut, Lebanon

Graduated in 1995 from the National Lebanese University; Bsc en Physiotherapy… and the journey started!

However, I never stopped seeking for more knowledge in that field and for continuous education in order to improve my skills. To achieve all that, I’ve been taking post graduation courses in Lebanon and abroad; Italy, Greece, Spain, Bahrain and Canada…

Furthermore I specialized in the treatment of spinal deformities by FED Method in Spain- 2006 and gave lectures about this method in

Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and Syria.

I also became a Certified KinesioTaping (CKTP) and McKenzie (MDT) Practicioner

and still continuing the Mulligan and ETGOM- CYRIAX Certified Practicioner Program.
